KQED News
This article explains how California has recently adopted the new Common Core State Standards. It says that it grants teachers the right to be more flexible and creative when teaching their students. Teachers are starting to see that with the use of media students are starting to get more involved and excited about learning. Basically, the CCSS shows a lot of emphasis on reading and understanding articles and also on digital fluency, but with the new technology we have now the teachers can get the students more involved. Teachers are now showing clips and 21st century media that relates to the students to get them more involved with learning. I think this new way of teaching is a great way for the students to learn. The CCSS is very important of course, but it is always good to have some visual information for the students to relate to.
